Shout Outs

Best GA ever!

Will stays steady and gets the job done even when there are issues outside of his control.

Laura has been excellent to work with while helping to put together the International Recruiting Performance report in PRM! Thank you for all of your help, Laura!

Stacey is a champ and always fixes my tech issues. Thank you for your hard work!

This is a shout-out for David, Chris, and Keerthana. The three of them are always willing to help faculty and administration with technology use. I also love the way the three of them work together so well and support each other in supporting us. They respect each other's expertise and complement each other extremely well. EIU is very blessed to have these three rock stars!

Chris is always so helpful and kind any time I need assistance! He goes the extra mile to help with instructional needs and has such a positive spirit!

Thank you for putting in the extra time and effort, including work performed outside of normal business hours, to help keep EIU secure. Your work identifying and remediating a major system vulnerability significantly reduced risk and helped prevent issues that could have had a serious impact on the university if left unaddressed. Your dedication, expertise, responsiveness, and willingness to go above and beyond are greatly appreciated.

Cathy was awesome to work with at Blair. She was courteous, helpful, and always had a smile on her face.

Thank you for being a wonderful asset for EIU!

Thank you Amanda for everything you do at EIU. Thank you for being patience and throwing in a joke to lighten the mood while ITS is short handed. You made all of us laugh which is needed during stressful days. We appreciate you.

Caden joined our team as an official in Fall 2026 and has been an incredible addition from the start. Not only has Caden worked hard to become one of our top officials, he has picked up shifts when others have called in last minute. Truly grateful for his work and his willingness to be a team player.

Catie Danner is a rockstar, as everyone knows! She stepped into her role as Interim Director of the Office of Leadership & Engagement after Ceci retired, and she has FLOURISHED over here in Panther Commons. She is strong enough to head up OLE but modest enough to be realistic about her first year in the department. Our team really appreciates all that Catie does for the students and for the betterment of EIU. Thank you so much, #bosslady!

Thank you so much for your light, goodness, wisdom and love you give to all our TLF and SOE Faculty, Staff, and Students! Thank you, Dr. Padmaraju, we are so lucky to have you as our Assistant Chair!

The School of Business has had a busy and exciting start to the semester, with events including our AACSB Celebration Cookout, Business Advisory Board Visit, and Accounting Day! 🎉

A huge thank-you to Cheryl for all her hard work, dedication, and behind-the-scenes efforts to help make these events run smoothly and successfully. So much goes into making these events happen, and we truly appreciate everything she does to support our students, faculty, and School of Business community!

A big shout out to Lynne, for getting our Ice Machine back up and going again! Thanks, Lynne!

Sandy is always working hard behind the scenes and getting things done. Grateful that she hasn't gotten tired of my almost daily requests!

Mandy is the best, she got some updated payment settings for Admissions that will make it so much easier for incoming students. Thanks Mandy!

Thank you, Em! You are always so gracious and helpful! I appreciate you so much!!

I would like to recognize Dr. Mark Kattenbraker from the KSR Department for his outstanding responsiveness today. A bus breakdown unexpectedly stranded 20 Dieterich High School students who were on their way to a volunteer project in Bloomington, IL, prompting a last-minute visit to EIU. When I contacted Mark, he responded immediately. Within minutes, he arranged to take the students into the gym, introduced them to some of our physical fitness assessments, and gave them a fun opportunity to try them out. They had a wonderful experience! Thank you, Mark, for your dedication and for truly embodying the spirit of student-centered care at EIU.

Crystal Brown helped save the day for a group of visiting students! When a bus carrying 20 Dieterich High School students on their way to a food bank in Bloomington, IL, broke down, they were redirected to EIU for an unexpected, last-minute visit. I reached out to Crystal, and within minutes, she made arrangements to get the students into EIU's Food Pantry to show them exactly how it works. The students absolutely loved it! Thank you, Crystal, for giving your time so generously—you truly embody EIU's spirit of student-centered care!
